Shera Mungroo has been with Guardian Group since March 2012. Over the years, she has held a variety of roles, including expanding the in-house actuarial team, developing the Group’s risk management framework, and overseeing the reinsurance and global network partner functions for its property and casualty companies across 24 territories.

Since December 2024, Shera has served as Chief Product Officer at Guardian Group, where she is responsible for driving product development and innovation across the insurance and financial services segments.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science from City University London (now City St George’s, University of London) and an MSc in Applied Actuarial Science from the University of Kent. She became a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2012, specializing in General Insurance, and is a Chartered Actuary.

Shera has also contributed to the actuarial profession regionally, having served as Chair of the Caribbean Actuarial Association’s General Insurance Committee and as a member of the Association’s Council.
