Cécile Gauert is an award-winning journalist, editor and writer who has spent more than two decades covering the luxury yachting industry, with a particular focus on design, technology, craftsmanship and the people behind the world’s most sophisticated yachts.

A native of France, Gauert made her career in the United States, beginning in newspapers before moving into marine publishing. She served as Editor-in-Chief of Yachts International and later joined ShowBoats International (now BOAT US Edition) as Senior Editor before taking the magazine’s editiorial lead. She currently is Editor at Large for BOAT and founder of All the Right Words, a communications company.

Her reporting has taken her behind the scenes of yacht design and construction, from shipyards and engineering spaces to the studios of leading designers and builders. She is especially interested in the intersection of design, engineering and craftsmanship, and in the stories behind how extraordinary yachts come to life.

Gauert has also helped shape industry conversations as co-chair of the BOAT Design & Innovation Awards and as a moderator and panelist at major yachting events.

Fluent in French and English, with conversational Spanish and Italian, she brings an international perspective and a journalist’s curiosity to her work. Her writing combines industry expertise with a strong interest in design, travel, culture and the people shaping the future of yachting.
